 Delta Govment Don Set Up Peace Committee to Stop Ethnic Wahala for Warri

Delta State Govment don finally take bold step wey go bring peace for Warri and the areas wey dey around am, after the recent fight and tension wey happen between Ijaw, Itsekiri and Urhobo people.

The govment inaugurate one Peace Committee for Government House Annex, Warri, and na Hon. David Tonwe, Director-General of Security for Delta State, wey do the official inauguration.

Wetin Dem Tell the Committee

Hon. Tonwe tell the committee members say their work na to meet with their different ethnic people, talk to them make dem stop fight, stop to talk anyhow for social media and stop any action wey fit scatter the small peace wey dey.

“The wahala wey we dey face na one wey concern identity. Una duty na to make sure say this fight no continue again. Warri suppose move from fight go peace and development,” Hon. Tonwe yan.

He still talk say Governor Sheriff Oborevwori give am and him team clear order say make dem do everything to bring peace because development no fit happen where fight and wahala dey.

Stakeholders Promise to Support

Chairman of Delta State Waterways and Land Security Committee, Chief Boro Pudu, talk say dem no go rest until peace return for Warri.

Chairman of Warri South LGA, Comrade Isaac Agbateyiniro, and him Warri South West counterpart, Hon. Sylvester Oromoni, praise Governor Oborevwori for this action wey he take. Dem talk say if no be this step, the wahala fit don turn big crisis wey go disturb life for Warri.

“This one na correct move. The governor action go help stop wahala wey fit don turn big fight,” Agbateyiniro talk. Oromoni still promise say him office go support the committee work well well.

Ijaw, Itsekiri and Urhobo Representatives Yan

The three major ethnic groups wey dey Warri – Chief Sylvester Okumagba (Urhobo), Hon. Orueboh Oritsetimeyin (Itsekiri), and Hon. Denbo-Denbofa Oweikpodor (Ijaw) – talk say dem ready to work together with govment, local council and traditional leaders to bring better peace wey go last.

Dem still beg people wey dey cause fight and tension to calm down, choose dialogue and reconciliation so that everybody for Warri go enjoy better life.

Hope for Warri Future

This step wey Delta State Govment don take show say dem serious to turn Warri to place wey go dey peaceful and open for development. If this peace work succeed, e go stop the repeated fight wey dey worry the area and go make Warri fit enjoy the plenty economic opportunity wey dey as oil city.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori administration don show say dem no go sit down look while fight spoil the image of Warri.
