Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, don call church people and Rivers people make dem no tire for prayer as e resume work after di six-month emergency rule wey dem put for di state.
Gov Fubara wey don go back to office last Thursday talk dis one for St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Opobo Town on Sunday. Na him first public waka since dem lift di emergency rule. Di service na part of “2025 Harvest of Divine Possibilities” and e double as him personal thanksgiving to God.
Gov Fubara Thank God, Thank People
Governor Fubara talk say e no fit thank God and Rivers people finish for di fasting and prayer wey dem do for am when wahala dey.
“I come here with my wife this first Sunday after dem suspend state of emergency. As family we no fit thank God finish. Na just to come worship for our home church. When my story end, na this church go lead me enter my next journey. So I must come thank God quietly for wetin e don do, wetin e dey do and wetin e go still do — no be just for me and my family but for Rivers State and Nigeria.”

“Di biggest gift wey person fit get na peace. If peace dey for house, sickness and worry go reduce. Peace for community go attract development. Peace inside person body go bring better health. Make everybody hold peace well well as e be key for unity and progress for our state.”
