A respected academician, activist, and development advocate, Dr. Odimientimi Agbedeyi, has joined numerous voices across the Niger Delta and beyond to mourn the passing of Mama Keketobou Jane Kuku (Nee Gbamila), the mother of Hon. (Snr High Chief) Kingsley Kemebradigha Kuku, Esq (PhD), former Presidential Adviser on Niger Delta Affairs.
In his condolence message made available to Global Egberi Media International, Dr. Agbedeyi expressed profound grief over Mama Kuku’s passing, describing her as “a woman of virtue, strength, and compassion whose life remains a model of true motherhood and selfless service.”
“It was with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that I received the news of the passing of your beloved mother, Mama Keketobou Jane Kuku (Nee Gbamila). Her departure marks the end of a remarkable life of love, strength, and grace. Mama lived a life worthy of emulation — a virtuous woman who raised great children, including you, whose life of service and leadership continues to impact our people positively,” Dr. Agbedeyi stated.
He further remarked that Mama Kuku’s exemplary life and enduring faith have left a moral and cultural legacy that will outlive her, adding that her influence extended beyond her home into the larger society.
“At this moment of grief, I stand with you and the entire Kuku family in solidarity and prayer. May the Lord comfort you, your siblings, and all who mourn Mama’s transition. May God grant her gentle soul eternal rest in His bosom, and may the light of her legacy continue to shine through the lives she touched,” he added.
Dr. Agbedeyi, a vocal advocate for youth empowerment and regional development, extended heartfelt sympathies to the Kuku family and the people of Ese-Odo Local Government Area, urging them to celebrate Mama’s impactful life even as they mourn her loss.
The condolence message comes shortly after High Chief Caleb Ebimobowei Molos, Executive Chairman of Ese-Odo LGA, also issued a statement describing the late matriarch as “a mother whose life embodied love, hope, and cherished memories.”
Mama Keketobou Jane Kuku (Nee Gbamila) passed on October 14, 2025, and is being remembered as a beacon of love, wisdom, and resilience whose contributions to family and community development will never be forgotten.
