Egbema I Political Forum Declares Support for President Bola Tinubu Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Egbema I Political Forum, a prominent socio-political body known for its non-partisan stance, has openly declared its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Nigeria moves closer to the 2027 general elections.

Speaking to Global Egberi Media International, the President of the Forum, Dr. Odimientimi Agbedeyi, disclosed that the group has “pitched its tent” with President Tinubu, affirming confidence in his leadership and policies.

According to Dr. Agbedeyi, the Forum’s decision was not politically motivated but rather inspired by the President’s ongoing developmental strides and his commitment to empowering Niger Delta youths through the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).

“We are not a partisan organization, but we cannot close our eyes to the positive steps President Tinubu is taking, especially in strengthening opportunities for Niger Delta youths. Through PAP and other federal interventions, hope is being rekindled in our region, and as responsible stakeholders, we have chosen to support him,” Dr. Agbedeyi said.

The Forum, whose Principal and Patron is His Royal Highness, Hon. Henry Binidodogha, Ovuru I of Ofunama Land, further highlighted the contributions of its Public Relations Officer (PRO), Chief Ayemogho Tony Igbon, who has consistently projected the Forum’s voice and ensured its activities are aligned with the interest of the Niger Delta people.

Together, the leadership emphasized that their support for President Tinubu is rooted in a desire for sustained peace, development, and inclusion of the Niger Delta people in national progress.

Dr. Agbedeyi further stressed that the Niger Delta has often been marginalized in matters of national development. However, the group is convinced that President Tinubu’s administration is demonstrating sincerity of purpose by directing strategic initiatives toward the empowerment of ex-agitators and the broader youth population of the oil-rich region.

The Forum therefore urged all Niger Delta communities to unite and give maximum support to President Tinubu, assuring that their collective backing would pave the way for greater federal attention to local challenges such as environmental degradation, unemployment, and infrastructural neglect.

As 2027 draws closer, this endorsement by the Egbema I Political Forum is expected to galvanize further support for President Tinubu across various Niger Delta communities, strengthening his political base in the oil-rich South-South.
