In what has been described as one of the most organized and visionary youth gatherings in recent times, the Egbema Youth Progressive Foundation (EYPF), popularly known as the Egbema Youth Council (EYC) Worldwide, held a highly successful Stakeholders’ Meeting at the prestigious Gold Gate Hotel, Ekpan Junction, Warri, drawing together a formidable assemblage of youth leaders, executives, parliamentarians, and respected stakeholders from across Egbema Kingdom.

The event, which was presided over by the President General, Barrister Amatelemowei A. Sode, lived up to its billing as a strategic platform for dialogue, accountability, and forward planning for the youth body. The meeting’s tone and texture exuded discipline, focus, and commitment — a clear testament to the renewed vigor that currently drives the EYC under Barr. Sode’s stewardship.

Deliberations on Critical Developmental Issues

During the session, members exhaustively deliberated on a wide range of pivotal subjects that directly affect the welfare and progress of Egbema youths.
Top on the agenda were:

  • Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Updates: The President General briefed members on recent engagements and ongoing discussions with the NDDC concerning youth empowerment, infrastructural intervention, and community-based development initiatives.

  • Upcoming Projects: The leadership unveiled strategic developmental programs aimed at youth empowerment, leadership training, and infrastructural support for communities across the Egbema axis.

  • Board of Trustees (BOT) Matters: The house discussed key structural matters relating to the constitution and strengthening of the BOT, emphasizing the importance of institutional stability and continuity.

  • Any Other Business (AOB): The interactive segment provided stakeholders with the opportunity to freely express opinions, proffer solutions, and reaffirm their loyalty to the EYC’s mission.

Several speakers at the meeting described him as “a visionary youth leader with uncommon administrative maturity and humility.”

While lauding the achievements of the current administration, some members also offered constructive advice on areas requiring continuous improvement, urging the leadership to maintain consistent communication and capacity-building programs for youths across the Egbema communities.

President General’s Closing Remark: ‘A Strong Step Toward Greater Progress’

In his heartfelt closing remark, Barr. Amatelemowei A. Sode expressed deep appreciation to all executives, parliamentarians, and stakeholders who graced the meeting. He described the day’s engagement as “a strong step toward greater progress for the Egbema Youth Council and the collective destiny of our people.”

He urged all members to continue to work hand in hand with the leadership to actualize the collective vision of empowering the youths and defending the interests of Egbema people in all spheres.

A Beacon of Hope for the Niger Delta Youth Movement
